Following a recent report that Apple has ordered 380,000 units of new models of its MacBook Air to be manufactured this month, a new report from a Taiwanese publication says that these new models of the MacBook Air may be sold late this month.
According to sources of the publication, about 90 percent of the batch of MacBook Air laptops will be assembled by longtime Apple contractor Quanta Computer.
The report supports a story recently broken by Apple Insider saying that Concord Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has revealed that industry checks have confirmed that Apple has indeed ordered “the production of a total of 380,000 Sandy Bridge-based 11.6 and 13.3-inch MacBook Airs this month.”
The publication also reported that the iPad 3, reportedly scheduled for launch this fourth quarter, will have five to six times the image resolution of its older brother, the iPad 2.
