A mysterious new Apple iPad tablet running on what is believed to be an A6 chip has been spotted by a developer.
The iPad which had the “iPad 3,6” designation was spotted by a developer in his app analytics, a report from MacRumors says.
What sets this iPad apart, aside from its “3,6” designation, is its processor that is said to be on the new ARMv7 architecture.
That processor architecture is what is known to be in the next iteration of Apple’s own applications processor, the A6 chip.
The discovery may be seen as support for previous rumors that Apple will release an upgraded version of the new iPad – or the iPad 3 – in the near future.
The current generations of iPads have the following designations: “iPad 3,1”, “iPad 3,2” and “iPad 3,3”.
Nonetheless, there is also the possibility that this new iPad is the model Apple is working on for a release next year.

Speculation is rife, but i suspect the a6 has some of the a15 cortex improvements. Some of the current benchmarks are showing around the same performance as the s4 snapdragon which is also dual core and has some of the a15 cortex enhancements.
