Mozilla has released Firefox 5 for PCs and Android phones, reports CNET. The company has also promised its customers to release new versions of the browser more quickly now.
Mozilla also released two test versions, the beta version and the Aurora version, that are faster moving and are meant for more adventurous users.
The latest Firefox 5 will offer support for CSS animations, a technology considered quite handy for dynamic Web pages and apps. It will also include the new Add-on SDK that was earlier known as Jetpack. The Add-on makes it easy for users to build extensions with technologies such as HTML, CSS, etc. Firefox 5 will also include do-not-track technology as well as the Canvas (to add 2-D graphics technology).
Mozilla was the main competitor to Microsoft’s Internet Explorer just a few years back. It is now facing lots of challenges from IE and Google Chrome. Google is launching new version of Chrome every six weeks. Mozilla has also decided to release new versions for its browser every three months. This means new versions of the browser will not be dramatically different to earlier versions.
“The world of the Internet is moving at a faster pace than ever, so we realized we had to start innovating faster,” said Mozilla Chief Executive Gary Kovacs. “Firefox 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 – they’re every bit as important, but they won’t have this massive celebration. They’ll just be part of how we deliver awesomeness to the Web,” added Kovacs.
According to Mozilla, Firefox 4 was downloaded over 200 million times for PCs and Android phones. The company now expects the same success for Firefox 5.

In my opinion, stable is more important than fast speed. I use browser at least 6 hours everyday .so the ones must be stable and no memory leaks .i use too many browsers .such as Avant browser .maxthon,firefox ,chrome .opera ..And so on .but i think Avant browser is the best one.
