Motorola and Verizon Wireless have unveiled the DROID RAZR M.
The new smartphone is now up for pre-order from Verizon (go here to do so) and will be available on September 13th in Verizon Wireless Communications Stores and online verizonwireless.com for the introductory price of $99.99.
That price will be after a $50 mail-in rebate and if you choose to sign a new two-year customer agreement with Verizon.
Verizon and Motorola are describing the DROID RAZR M as “The Full-Screen Phone” as its 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Advanced display is touted by the two companies as edge-to-edge.
According to Motorola and Verizon, this is the most compact 4.3-inch 4G LTE phone yet as it is significantly shorter and narrower than the original DROID RAZR while it has the same size display.
As this is a 4G LTE smartphone, Verizon says that customers can expect fast download speeds of 5 to 12 megabits per second (Mbps) and upload speeds of 2 to 5 Mbps in 4G LTE coverage areas.
The DROID RAZR M is equipped with Interactive Circles Widget allows quick access to notifications, weather, time and more.
The companies also highlight Quick Settings which can be accessed directly from the home screen so customers can easily manage their volume profile, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth®, GPS and more.
For those who are first time smartphone buyers, the DROID RAZR M offers Enhanced Help Guides which has interactive tutorials, help topics and tips.
Verizon also stresses that the new smartphone is Global Ready so users can take it to more than 205 countries without worries they will lose connectivity.
