Are you a Mac lover? Are you thinking of switching to Windows but couldn’t find a reason to do so? With the release of Microsoft Surface Book, you might dump your Mac and fall in love again with Windows.
Most of us have wondered when Bill Gates’ company would release a laptop.
And we might have the answer.
Microsoft has taken several steps in miniaturizing and building system to, finally, build a premium laptop that users can be proud to show it off to their friends.
But it’s not just a laptop. It’s also a Windows tablet.
Apple was right.
Microsoft Surface book could be an admission of the company that Apple was right all along.
That is, taking control over hardware and software.
Those who have tested it are saying that it’s the best Windows laptop they’ve ever used.
And this might be answer to their prayers of Microsoft creating best-in-class laptop, just like Apple’s.
Moonlighting as a Tablet
The Surface Pro pretends to be a laptop through its detachable 13.5-inch touch screen. It may solve our problem of having fewer gadgets that can actually do more.
You’re going to love the laptop’s magnesium design with a straw-like hinge. It’s quite unique.
The gap between the screen and its keyboard won’t cause some random objects to get lodged in it.
Unlike other Windows-based laptops, the Surface Pro is a sturdy machine through its all-metal body that’s said to match the sturdy built of Macbooks.
It may also surpass that of the latest laptops of HP, Toshiba and Dell.
However, the overall design has real flaws.
The all-metal design is chunkier.
But these flaws will all be gone when you look at its screen – 3,000×2,000 pixels.
It’s truly bright, crisp and stunning. You may prefer this over your Macbooks Retina display.
You’ll see more lines of your text and your apps will have more room.
Some say that the backlit keyboard was copied from MacBook.
I won’t argue with it but this latest laptop of Microsoft offers comfortable keyboard. Thanks to its well-spaced and raised keys.
But there are no screen-brightness control keys.
Microsoft Surface Pro is like Dell XPS 15. It comes with a glass pad.
Unfortunately, it’s nothing compared to MacBook’s trackpad perfection.
When you use the laptop as a tablet, the screen might feel awkward in your hands.
However, jotting notes with its pen feels quite natural.
Good thing is that the new pen doesn’t make sounds when you tap the screen. And it also responds well to pressure and strokes.
Compared with Macbook Pro, the Surface Pro can last up to 15 hours. This is more than enough to last a non-stop flight from one country to another.
The Surface Book isn’t like the legions of Windows-based laptops.
Rather, it combines speed, precision, and yes, a killer display without having to compromise battery life.
It may have some flaws, but Microsoft promised to fix them.
Would you finally choose Microsoft Surface Book over MacBook? Why and why not?
