Microsoft my launch its Office for iPad next year, a report from The Daily reveals.
The Daily’s Matt Hickey writes:
“According to sources, the tech giant is actively working on adapting its popular software suite for Apple’s tablet. With the iPad making up over 80 percent of the tablet market and millions of people worldwide using Office, that could mean big bucks for the tech giant based in Redmond, Wash.”
Furthermore, side from the Office for iPad, Microsoft is also said to be working on a new version of its Office productivity suit for Apple’s OS X Lion operating system, the report says.
This new Office for OS X Lion is expected to be released “sometime next year,” the report notes.
According to The Daily, both the Office for iPad and the Office for OS X Lion will presumably work with Office 365.
The good news is that The Daily says that the Office for iPad pricing will “most likely be significantly lower than existing Office products.”
