After Qualcomm confirmed a few days ago the imminent LG Optimus G superphone, which will be based on the most powerful hardware platform of the moment, the South Korean manufacturer went out and he shyly announcing some details.
As announced on the manufacturer’s website, in addition to Qualcomm APQ8064 quad-core solution, LG Optimus G will bring more surprises.
Regarding the characteristics that were already known, the superphone will not only impress through the 4.7 inch screen which impresses on its own, but with the TrueHD IPS + panel with a resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels, which will bring significant energy saving compared to AMOLED screens, the manufacturer not getting in more details.
LG will use its own technology for laminating the screen, bonding the protective layer to the LCD panel allowing the achievement of a thinner screen, this not being new news. Finally, LG states that Optimus G will use a battery developed by the company, which will have a higher energy efficiency by 60 percent, offering a better battery range without sacrificing size.
LG Optimus G will be launched next month in South Korea, being the first to use the S4 Pro processor from the Snapdragon family. Qualcomm says that this terminal will be available globally later on, but did not reveal more details regarding this future availability. All we know is that LG Optimus G should have a big impact on the smartphone market and that the operating system will probably be Google’s Android.
