Instagram released another update. This time, it lets you send a reply to stories in various ways. With it, you can respond directly to the stories of your friends so as to communicate with them in a different way.
To reply with a photo, video or a Boomerang, tap the camera icon found at the bottom of the screen when you play a story. After tapping, you’re now entering the camera reply mode. From there, you can use the app’s fun features to customize your response. That is, you can add filters and stickers, as well.
When you reply to a story with a video or a photo, your recipient will see it in his inbox. To view the response, simply tap it.
You can also see a sticker of the story that’s visible to you. It works like the disappearing photo or video message. That is, the recipient will be notified if you play and make a screenshot of his story.
Before this update, direct messaging was the only way to reply to an Instagram story. With the latest feature, you can now share with your friends how you feel, instead of just giving them plain text.
The best part of this latest feature is that you can add and show your creative side. You can make your response to be as ridiculous as you want it to be. There’s no need to worry about it as responses disappear as soon as they’re played.
It’s another step to enable users to personalize their interaction with their friends through this social media site. According to the company:
“Today’s update is just one of the ways we’re working to make Direct the best place to have fun, visual conversations with friends on Instagram.”
Instagram is a photo-sharing platform that makes a visual conversation more important. This type of interaction is what makes the site different from other social media channels.
But before you can start using it, you need to update it first. If not, you won’t see the camera icon when replying to a story. The update is available on iOS and Android.
Over the past 24 hours, users of Instagram were unable to log in. They complained of the possibility that their accounts have been deleted.
These reports surfaced on Facebook, Twitter, and Reddit. But the issue was just the result of a bug. A spokesperson of Instagram stated that the company is aware of the errors and it’s working to resolve the issue ASAP.
Those affected users would see a page that states, “Sorry, this page isn’t available.”
Were they affected because the company started to crack down fake or spam accounts?
This incident is just an Instagram bug.
Still, it’s important to remember that Instagram removes accounts that spam or bully other users. Earlier this week, the channel started to delete fake and spam influencers and remove third-party apps that generate responses and automate followers.
Furthermore, the random deletions appeared after Robert Kardashian’s verified account had been taken down because he posted explicit photos of his ex-girlfriend.
