Another update, another sticker; Instagram is reportedly working on another sticker to boost its existing collections. The ephemeral picture-sharing app is reportedly working on a Chat Sticker that will allow people who view your story to request to join the chat group.
Our usual source, Jane Manchun Wong tweeted the screenshot detailing how the new chat sticker would work. In the screenshot, users can click a sticker tagged “Join Chat,” to join an ongoing conversation.

The upcoming Chat Sticker is just what it is—it will encourage engagement on the platform, which will further boost Instagram’s dominance of the market.
Two years ago, the social media giant launched the smiley face stickers, which allows you to add context to your story with stickers regardless of where you are or what you are up to. Once you take a photo or video, new stickers button will appear next to the text and drawing tools.
Last December, Instagram added the countdown sticker, and question stickers. The stickers can be used in Live Videos and to share music recommendations. For the records, Instagram continues to add series of features to Stories as it seeks to reinvent a feature it copied from Snapchat.
The question sticker for one, will be very helpful to users considering the fact that they now respond to questions with music. Users can now choose to respond with a message or share a song to their story. When a song is shared, it opens up the camera for the user to take a photo or video as the music plays in the background. Instagram has now added new camera effects that will respond to music being played.
To better organize Q&A interactions, the Facebook-owned company also added question stickers to Live Videos. Questions chosen by a user streaming will be shown on-screen so that everyone can see which one of them is being answered. Questions can be asked before or during the Live Video, while streamers can now share photos and videos from their camera roll to their live video.
As the name suggests, countdown stickers are interactive stickers within stories that allows you to count down to an upcoming moment. Your friends will have the opportunity to tap the countdown to follow or share it to their own stories, and they will be notified when the countdown ends.
The company further demonstrated its love for stickers a few days ago when it launched Quiz stickers. Quiz Stickers will be very useful for companies and radio/TV presenters who like to engage their followers online.
In a tweet announcing the new sticker, Instagram said you could use Quiz Stickers to do a number of things including asking your friends and followers multiple-choice questions. This, according to the Facebook subsidiary, will allow your followers or fans to know you even more.
