Facebook’s Instagram and stickers are inseparable—every month since the last three or four, it has always been one sticker being launched or about to be launched. Interestingly though, users seem to be enjoying them; if for anything else, the fact that Instagram has added almost dozens of them is enough proof. The ephemeral picture-sharing app is reportedly working on a Chat Sticker.
Our usual tipster Jane Manchun Wong, has just tweeted that the picture-sharing app is working on the sticker, which could very well mean that the good old days of group chat rooms are before us once again.
Jane, a reverse engineer who has developed a reputation for calling several features months before official launch, posted a screenshot of the new sticker, which apparently is being added to encourage engagement among users. There is absolutely no reason why anyone would not be excited about the Chat Sticker. Recall the good old Yahoo Chat Room days? Well, the thought of having Chat Sticker on Instagram brings back old memories and fill users with nostalgia.

We may be days away from an official launch or maybe there won’t be any at the end of the day; but I want to keep my fingers crossed. The thought of having the opportunity to join a group chat on Instagram is an interesting one, and I can’t wait to get started.
In other news, you can now make your stories more appealing by creating avenue for people to know you better—and that is because Instagram last month launched the Quiz Sticker. Quiz stickers will be very useful for companies and radio/TV presenters who like to engage their followers online.
Instagram said you could use Quiz Stickers to do a number of things including asking your friends and followers multiple-choice questions. This, according to the Facebook subsidiary, will allow your followers or fans to know you even more.
Two years ago, the social media giant launched the smiley face stickers, which allows you to add context to your story with stickers regardless of where you are or what you are up to. Once you take a photo or video, new stickers button will appear next to the text and drawing tools.
Tap the smiley face to find customizable stickers for weather, the current time, and your location. To add a location sticker to your photo or video, simply search for your location and choose from the list. People watching your story will be able to tap the sticker to learn more about the location. However, Instagram says your story won’t appear on the location page itself.
Earlier in the year, Instagram added some new features to its version of Stories—countdown sticker, and question stickers. The new stickers can be used in Live Videos and to share music recommendations. For the records, Instagram continues to add series of features to Stories as it seeks to reinvent a feature it copied from Snapchat.
