Instagram has launched another sticker—a “donation sticker” that will allow nonprofits keep 100 percent of the proceeds. It further confirms the company’s love for stickers or probably just goes to show that the feedback Instagram has been getting from users have been encouraging.
The roll out is not a wide one yet as only those in the UK will be able to access it at the moment. Charity organizations and their supporters will be able to create a 24-hour fundraiser on Instagram Stories. Giving can be made without exiting Instagram, while all the money raised goes to nonprofits.
Courtesy of Matt Navarra on Twitter, here is a quick one on how to use the new Instagram donation sticker in Stories:
- Tap your profile image or swipe to your camera to start your story.
- Select or take a photo or video.
- Tap the smiley face sticker icon in the top right.
- Choose the Donation Sicker.
- Select a nonprofit organization.
- Type the name of your fundraiser.
- Tap send to.
- Tap share next to Your Story.
- This can be repeated as many times you wish to build your story.
Your account will be eligible to be fundraised for on Instagram Stories once you have completed the aforementioned required steps.

Earlier in July, Instagram formally launched its Chat Stickers in Stories— coming barely one month after the feature was first reported by Jane Manchun Wong, a reverse engineer.
In an announcement made via its Twitter page, Instagram said the sticker offers an “easy way to start conversations with a group of friends right from your story.” It is a sure way to keep the conversation going, and to encourage more people to keep using the app. As with other features released in the last few years, the chat sticker is one that could further tighten the app’s stronghold in the market—ahead of Snapchat in particular.
The “Chat” sticker allows anyone looking at a story to request to join an Instagram group Direct Message conversation tied to the post. Though, everyone can send a request to join a chat group, the onus is on the original poster to either approve or reject the request. What this means is that you are in charge of saying yes or no to any request made by your follower or contact.
One unique feature of Instagram’s DM is the built-in one-to-one and one-to-many private messaging for its users. It is a unique selling point for the Facebook-owned app, and will continue to give it the edge when it comes to competition from its biggest rivals—including Snapchat.
A couple of months ago, Instagram launched the Quiz Sticker. Quiz stickers will be very useful for companies and radio/TV presenters who like to engage their followers online. The Facebook subsidiary said you could use Quiz Stickers to do a number of things including asking your friends and followers multiple-choice questions. This, according to the Facebook subsidiary, will allow your followers or fans to know you even more
