The Chinese mobile technology manufacturer, Huawei, admitted working on their own mobile operating system, just weeks after denying rumors regarding this subject.
Huawei CEO says it is prudent to have its own operating system, good for emergencies.
The operating system is developed by Huawei as a “disaster” protection measure to ensure the company’s future if the collaboration with partners what currently offer the mobile operating systems might end, writes TheNextWeb.
China press claims that Huawei and ZTE are trying to create new options and to withdraw from situations where they are dependent on Android or Windows Phone. While ZTE is counting on Firefox OS, Huawei has decided to develop its own platform.
Android spacing could be caused by fears that Apple will keep Steve Jobs’ promise to destroy Android. After the victory over Samsung, Apple has in progress processes related patents against Motorola and HTC, and some are even functions about which Steve Jobs said that Android has copied from iOS.
For now, Apple it seems, is still waiting for a few victories before suing Google directly.
