Last Tuesday’s America’s Got Talent brought to the limelight one of the most talked about grannies as of late: Granny G.
And who wouldn’t talk about Paula Nelson, the 80-year-old grandmother who auditioned in San Francisco? She basically stole the show with her rap talking about what she described as “family values”.
No one, from the judges to the people in the theater to those at home, was prepared for what the self-confessed aspiring star had in store for them. After her performance, you could rightfully say that a star was born.
In fact, she now has an official Facebook page which can be seen here and Granny G was trending on Twitter after her performance.
Nonetheless, we’re expecting to see more of Granny G as she goes to Las Vegas after getting three affirmative votes from the judges.
All of the judges were praising her with just a little advice from Sharon Osbourne which is that Granny G should “bedazzle” her walker.
She’s got a good message in her rap which was basically about men who don’t think about the repercussions of being promiscuous and leaving a child they fathered.
Check out the true OG’s rap below. Granny G is in the house.
