If you are waiting for a particular app on Google Play and the title remains unreleased, there is a chance that you might forget it before the release. Or at least you may make a late to notice the launce. Google understands this issue, and that’s why the company has introduced a new Pre-Register option for upcoming apps on the official Android application store.
How to use it? The process is pretty simple. If you find an unreleased version of your favorite game title or any other app on Google Play, you can set an alert for it. Just tap the Pre-Register button (if offered) and confirm the action. It will ensure that you will get a notification on your device when the app is released for download or purchase.
When you are pre-registering to such an app, that doesn’t mean that you are preordering to purchase the app. It’s just a notification system which is not designed to obligate the user. It’s a friendly alert for Android users. And it’s up to the app publisher whether or not to offer a title prior to release for a pre-registration. We don’t know if Google is going to allow every publisher to use this feature,
However, right now, we are seeing only one app with this fancy pre-registration feature. Until today, you can pre-register a game based on the Terminator Genisys movie (upcoming). Interestingly, the game’s Google Play details don’t reveal any information about its release date. You have to just trust the developer team that someday the game will be released, and you will get a notification so that you can enjoy the fresh title in no delay.
