If you want to keep track of your fitness schedule but you have trouble doing it on your own then Google Calendar will help your goals
New Year’s resolutions are meant to be broken. Well not all the time, but some of us set goals for the New Year and just forget them. For example lose weight or exercise more often. So, Google is here to help you with that if you are using the Goals feature from the Google Calendar.
Google announced on Thursday that you can connect Google Fit and Apple Health to your fitness goals in Calendar. “When you do, activity in your favorite fitness apps will be recorded and used to mark your goals in Google Calendar as ‘done’ automatically,” reads a blog post. Now, before this new feature you had to mark your goal as completed in Google Calendar.
The company brought Goals last year with the promise to help you manage your busy schedule in order to achieve goals like working out, reading more books or learning a new language. Google believes that postponing a task or a goal is very easy to happen to all of us. But, Google Goals will help you find the time and stick to it.
And according to them it is very easy to set a goal. You just have to answer a few questions (such as “How often?” and “Best time?”), and you are ready to start! From there Calendar will look at your schedule and find the best windows to add your personal goals.
Another feature you will get with Goals is rescheduling. For example, Calendar will automatically reschedule if you add another event that’s a direct conflict with a goal. You can also defer a goal at any time, and Calendar will make time for it later.
Finally, Google Calendar can actually gets better and at scheduling the more you use it. You just need to defer, edit or complete your goals like normal, and Calendar will choose even better times in the future.
Google seems to be very proud about Calendar and they chose the best way to celebrate its 10th anniversary. And they are more than willing to make more updates like Goals, and help us find more time for ourselves and our family – from your daily must-dos, to exercising more, to just a little “me time.”
