Google is adding a cool new feature to two of its most used services, Maps and Search. The Mountain View California-based company is adding wait times feature that will help you avoid long queues usually associated with busy periods at popular restaurants. What that means is that you will now be able to plan your visit to your favorite restaurant by knowing the estimated wait times.

No more staying on long queues when visiting your favorite restaurant. Wait times has been added to Maps and Search to help you better manage your visit to restaurant. It means you will only have to visit the cafeteria of your choice at the most convenient time; avoiding rush hours.

Rolling out soon, wait times on Google Search (and coming soon to Maps) shows you the estimated wait at your favorite restaurants. Now you can decide whether that cronut is really worth an hour wait or plan ahead to get your fix at a time when you can avoid a wait entirely,” Quang Duong Software Engineer, Google Maps said in a blog post.

To start with, select your restaurant of choice in either Maps or Search. the estimated wait times will be displayed in the expanded business listing under the Popular Times section. Google’s new feature highlights the busiest periods during the day—and that’s not all, wait times will also approximate time spent by customers waiting in the queue.

Google rolled out the ability to order food delivery directly from search result. To use the feature, simply search for your favorite eatery on Google in the search result where you will find “Place an Order” option at the bottom of the cards. Tap the option and choose a delivery service from the available ones, and you will be redirected to the restaurant page to place an order quickly for your desired meal. Among other things, you will be offered suggestions based on recently ordered items to help you make a choice.

Few months ago, Google Maps quietly added a new feature that helps you remember where you parked your car. With the update, all you need to do is park your car, open Google Maps, and tap on the blue location dot. Google will then present you with a new menu offering “save your parking” that lets you store all the info you need to find your car.

The interface will not only save your current location; it will also add a big “P” icon on the map. The dot location can be adjusted to include, photos and notes to your parking lot. Google also added a “Time Left” field if there is a parking space; this will let you set “time left” that will count down the time remaining.

Once relevant info has been provided, you will get a notification from Google Maps, reminding you that you have a saved parking location. The “P” notification will remain until you hit the “Clear” button or until you save a different parking spot.

Google Maps is one app loved by a lot of people. Millions of people find the app so useful they can barely plan their daily routine without it.
