The first Windows Phone 8 smartphone from Huawei, dubbed for now as the Ascend W1, may be launched by the Chinese manufacturer next week.
The information comes from Chinese site Winp.cn which says that sources from Huawei have revealed that they have already tested “engineering prototype” Ascend W1 smartphones.
According to the site’s sources, the new Ascend W1 will come in four different colors: black, white, blue and pink.
Furthermore, the Winp.cn also says that they have learned that the device may be launched by the company next week on the 25th.
Another detail which comes from the report is that the new Huawei smartphone may be priced by the Chinese company at about 2000 RMB or about $315.
According to Winp.cn, Huawei plans to offer the new smartphone at this price point in order to compete well with Nokia’s Lumia 920.
No other details as to specification for the Ascend W1 were revealed by the report.
