Facebook now has its first real cash games in the form of Gamesys’ Bingo & Slots Friendzy.

According to Gamesys, the online app only allows users 18 years old and above to play for real cash prizes.

The gaming company, which also operates online gambling site Jackpotjoy.com, launched on Tuesday Bingo & Slots Friendzy, which is now available at the Facebook App Center.

The world’s first real cash games Facebook feature a series of 90 bingo and slots games that users can enter for a chance to play with and gain real money.

As mentioned earlier, you must be 18 years old or above to play the online gambling app, with Gamesys saying that users will be subject to “strict account acceptance controls verifying their identity”.

“As the UK’s leading online Instant Win and Bingo operator we are committed to extending our products to a wider adult audience so we’ve reinvented our exclusive Bingo and Slots games to appeal to the UK Facebook community,” said Michael Saunders, managing director of Jackpotjoy.com. “This marks an exciting turning point for the industry and a milestone for the Gamesys business.”

Zynga, the maker of popular social gaming apps on Facebook such as Farmville, plans to use real money in online gambling as well, a move that could help stop its decline.

“Facebook is a place that allows people to connect and share. Real money gaming is a popular and well-regulated activity in the UK and we are allowing a partner to offer their games to adult users on the Facebook platform in a safe and controlled manner,” commented a Facebook representative about the launch of the first real money gambling game on the social network.

Facebook has yet to confirm if Bingo & Slots Friendzy will be covered by its 30 percent cut policy.
