Soon it will be Christmas, and to get you in the groove, Facebook is launching series of holiday features to make the season a memorable one. It’s not like the first time though, Facebook is known for setting the tone when it comes to seasons like this one.

As a Facebook user, you will be able send customized holiday cards to your loved ones. The cards can be customized with special photos and messages. TNW reports that as we approach end of the year, users of the social networking giant will be able to use a number of holiday backgrounds when they post updates.

As the days roll bye gradually, Facebook will be adding time-exclusive stickers and Live effects in the celebration of this year’s Christmas—and most of the holiday effects will involve the Camera. When chatting in Facebook Messenger’s video chat, you can add Santa and Rudolph filters as well as some colorful Christmas light frames.

Facebook also wants to make the New Year celebration one to remember for a long time. The social networking website is adding effects to Live broadcasts, which is exclusive to the Eve celebrations. Starting from December 28th, you will see a montage of your friend’s holiday pictures on the social networking platform.

Facebook activated animated fireworks in users’ News Feed for the 2016 New Year Eve—and it was something that lingered in the memories of people for a long time.

Tapped phrases appeared in blue text, which of course, is different from other phrases or text because this time it triggered animated fireworks to mark the New Year.

For those who wanted to say hi to their friends or wish them a Happy New Year on Live, a new mask specifically designed to celebrate the ushering in of 2017 was also launched. Facebook added the feature to celebrate the brand-new year.

Twitter too was not left out; the microblogging platform streamed the pyrotechnics display in Dubai to millions of Twitter users across the world as 2017 was ushered in. Twitter, in conjunction with a partner based in the MENA region, streamed the fireworks in Dubai to millions of enthusiastic fans across the globe.

The fireworks extended across 500-acre Downtown Dubai, with millions of people watching from different locations across the city. The fireworks and display were orchestrated by a customized soundtrack, bringing to existence moments and aesthetic displays of fireworks of a “falcon flying high, swirling comets, and Arabian dance forms.”

To celebrate the 2017 Mother’s Day, Facebook added some special purple flower reactions along with some exciting features to its website. Users had the opportunity to wish their mom loads of love in special ways anywhere the occasion was being celebrated across the world.

Just as it did in 2016 when the occasion was celebrated around the world, the social media giant also rolled out flower reaction—and this time, with special effects.
