E3 2012: Top 5 Games Presented At E3 2012. (Image via E3)
Last week marked the 2012 edition of the most important event dedicated to video games – Electronic Entertainment Expo. As expected, E3 2012 came with the usual press conferences of the leading players in the industry – Microsoft, Electronic Arts, Ubisoft, Sony and Nintendo, but also with many surprises, which materialized under new games that you definitely cannot wait to put your hand on.
Thus, we have created a list of five titles, carefully chosen from the dozens of games presented in this year’s E3 event. We have tried as much as possible to not nominate titles that have been remarked at the last year’s edition of the E3 fair too, prioritizing the games announced at 2012’s show.
If you have other titles worth mentioning, please leave us your suggestions in the comments section below.
5. Star Wars 1313 – (PC/Xbox 360/PS3)

After the disappointing series The Force Unleashed, LucasArts returns to the Star Wars universe with a new third-person shooter: Star Wars 1313. This time, we won’t have the opportunity to embody Jedi knights, the main character being a bounty hunter who ventures into the depths of the planet Coruscant.
The graphics quality was quite a surprise for us, with Star Wars 1313 using the old Unreal Engine 3 in a unique way. In the manufacturing process of the game, also included were veterans from Industrial Light and Magic, the company adapting the special effects for this title.
The game will launch in 2013.

4. Rayman Legends – (Nintendo Wii)
Rayman Origins experienced great reception from both the specialized press and senior gamers – greedy for a platformer like in the old days. The team at Ubisoft Montpellier apparently forced themselves to continue the series with the future Rayman Legends. The game keeps the same formula in Origins, with some additions and improvements.
Perhaps the most important addition is that character controls are exclusive through the touchscreen on the gamepad of the future Nintendo Wii U. It may ease the work of other participants, creating new routes or eliminating all kinds of obstacles. We are still waiting for Rayman Legends to be available for other platforms too.
The game will launch on this year’s winter holidays.

3. The Last of Us – (PS3)

Although Sony’s conference at E3 2012 has hosted numerous presentations of games, the one that stood out remains The Last of Us. Produced by the Uncharted series’ developers, The Last of Us offers a different game formula, in which survival outweighs the action.
The action in The Last of Us takes place in a bleak future where the human race faces a major infection. Players will be able to get inside of Joel, a survivor who has to use all the arsenal of “talents” to protect Ellie, a 14-year-old girl.
The game will launch in 2013.

2. Assassin’s Creed 3 – (PC/Xbox 360/PS3/Wii U)
If we were to go by the presentations made in E3 2012, Assassin’s Creed 3 seems able to delete all the unhappy memories left by the previous game in the series, Assassin’s Creed: Revelations. We say goodbye to Ezio Auditore and we embrace the new hero of the series – Connor (Ratohnhake’ton, after his Indian name).
The fight for justice will take place on the North American continent this time, during the period between 1753 and 1783. Connor will be able to explore New York and Boston and the wilderness between them as well.
The game will release on October 31, 2012.

1. Watch Dogs – (PC/Xbox 360/PS3)
The most impressive presentation in E3 2012 was undoubtedly the one for Watch Dogs, a new title under development in the Ubisoft studios in Montreal. We are dealing with a modern open-world title, the action taking place in a city whose entire infrastructure is under the control of an accessible operating system and can benefit the protagonist.
There will also be hacking operations, extensive dialogues and classical action scenes.
The game will release in 2013.
