Revising its original order of a ban on the marketing and the sale of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet across European Union member nations, the court in Dusseldorf, Germany which issued the injunction has limited the ban to Germany only, a report from Reuters reveals.

According to the report, the Dusseldorf court has lifted the ban on the Galaxy Tab 10.1 because it was uncertain whether it had the authority to ban products of international companies outside of Germany.

The move marks a win for Samsung which vehemently protested the ban due to the preliminary injunction Apple has sought from the court.

This also means that the sale of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet will now only be banned in Germany instead of across all EU member states except in the Netherlands as earlier ordered by the preliminary injunction.

A recent report from Dutch publication Webwereld also pointed out that the Apple complaint to the Dusseldorf regional court contained an inaccurate image of the Galaxy Tab 10.1.
