Users of social media platform Twitter, his speech was a bizarre rambling of words. The 82-year old star walked onto the stage and shocked the audience when he brought a chair with him. He then went ahead to perform an imaginary conversation with President Barrack Obama over the promises the incumbent made during his Presidential campaign in 2008.”Mr. President, how do you handle promises that you have made when you were running for election, and how do you handle them? I mean, what do you say to people?” was one of his quotable quotes as he spoke to the empty chair. He had an audience of millions of viewers, though he only spoke to his empty chair.
A-List Hollywood actor and director of “Million Dollar Baby” and “Unforgiven” Clint Eastwood was a surprise speaker at the Republican National Convention in Tampa, FL yesterday during which Mitt Romney accepted his nomination for the candidature of the President of the United States of America.
Eastwood’s act got many tweeps’ tongues wagging on social media platforms. A lot of his fans seemed to be highly disappointed in him, with some mourning the embarrassment of their mentor and hero. Tweeps had a field day, especially when barely minutes after the star appeared on stage with an empty chair, one fan opened a @InvisibleObama account which has garnered more than 30,000 followers so far.
However, Ann Romney, Mitt Romney’s wife, defended the star, saying that he was a unique person and he did a unique thing on stage. Mitt Romney also appreciated the star’s appearance and insisted that we shouldn’t judge the actor with the same standards as we would politicians.
Eastwood’s act is definitely going to be a tough one for President Obama to follow, leading to one follower tweeting that (Mr.) Biden would have to go on stage topless to top his act.

Heheh! "… Ann Romney, Mitt Romney’s wife, defended the star, saying that he was a unique person and he did a unique thing on stage." What she actually meant to say was that Clint Eastwood is special (said in that tone you reserve for people you think are a couple of sandwiches short of a picnic).
