Microsoft team is far from the lack of capable people to keep the company in motion, but it’s always sad when one of them is leaving.
In this case it’s Brandon Watson, a person leading the team of developers of Windows Phone 7, who after it was rumored for a long period of time that he would leave Microsoft, has confirmed rumors on Twitter. The next adventure of Brandon Watson will take place at Amazon, where he will be the Director of Kindle Cross Platform team.
After sending an e-mail to an editor at ZDNet saying that he would miss a huge opportunity, Microsoft officials have also expressed their regret of this separation, actually confirming the fact that February 6 is the last day Brandon Watson will work for Microsoft. They have also said that Brandon did a great job by helping them build a “vibrant developer community”, wishing him good luck in his next adventure.
In what concerns his new job, Brandon will do the thinking of a porting plan, in optimal conditions, for the Kindle application on other platforms. Some examples are Windows Phone or Windows 8.
