The BlackBerry Bold 9790 is now up for pre-order at several online retailers in the UK.
The Bold 9790 sticks to the conventional style that made Research In Motion’s BlackBerry devices famous, along with its QWERTY keyboard, a 2.45in touchscreen, a 1GHz processor, 768MB of RAM and an 8GB internal storage.
In the UK, the first online retailer to offer the smartphone is Expansys at £340 SIM-free starting on January 18, Clove offers it at the same price on with a January 20 release date, Phones 4U on January 30, Amazon on February 14, and The Carphone Warehouse still has it at pre-registration.
UK mobile carriers, namely O2, Orange and Three, still posts a coming soon status for the BlackBerry Bold 9790 so do not expect it to come sooner.
In November, RIM unveiled the Bold 9790 smartphone and the Curve 9380 when it said both devices are set to arrive in the coming weeks but the latter arrived earlier and is now up for approximately £275.
The Bold 9790 is cheaper than the Bold 9900 by as much as £120.
