The Angry Birds game series from the Finns at Rovio Entertainment doesn’t need any introduction: the original game and the three subsequent iterations writing one of the success stories in the software industry for mobile devices, and becoming a part of a popular contemporary culture.
Angry Birds turned into a license that generated four games present on all modern mobile platforms and PC, OS X, PlayStation Portable, PlayStation 3, browsers or smart TVs, a billion downloads and some consistent profits, subsequently passing in the toy or food domain.
After making a stop outside the Angry Birds universe, Rovio Entertainment has returned to the series that made them famous, but decided that the idea has been used too long and continued from a different perspective.
To be released on the 27 of September, Bad Piggies will let us play with the piglets that have been antagonistic characters and help them in their efforts to steal bird eggs. The manufacturer does not provide details about the play style but the brief presentation of those who had the chance of testing the product is likely to be just a title based on logical interactions — the birds and the slingshot are absent. The company’s efforts are aimed at establishing a well-defined universe of old products.
The product will be released on platforms such as iOS, Android, Windows and OS X on 27 September, with the versions for Windows Phone and other traditional platforms arriving thereafter.
