Asus has announced that it will continue to release an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for the original Transformer TF101 tablet this month.
Transformer TF101 owners are eager to receive the ICS upgrade that is set to arrive this Wednesday, the last day of February.
“A quick refresher on the TF101 ICS Update that you are all so patiently waiting for. Our engineers are working hard on getting this ready for you as soon as possible and are still aiming for a February release,” said Asus on its Facebook page.
Users of the original Transformer waited long while Transformer Prime TF201 owners already received several updates, most of which fixed bugs such as graphics and random reboots, with the most recent one to unlock its bootloader for developers.
Earlier this month, Asus forcibly delayed its Android 4.0 ICS update for the original Transformer right after its Singapore Facebook page said of a March release.
Asus has begun rolling out the upgrade in Taiwan and other regions are sure to follow.
The company announced on Facebook, “we are delighted to announce that the first wave of FOTA [firmware over the air] updates for TF101 firmware v.9.2.1.11 started today in Taiwan. The update will FOTA in other regions soon after.”

Mine updated yesterday morning (Canada). I started getting a Google+ error though, so removed the widget from the desktop. Now to find out what changes ICS introduces.
Some usual bugs for early releases. It will get better in time.
Just got my upgrade in the UK through to my TF101 today. All good apart from G+ and Facebook errors (so far).
Got the update yesterday (Pakistan). No issues with Google+ so far.
Nice! Thanks for the heads up!
I got the update this morning (US) and its restarted 4 times while idling. Let’s hope this is isolated to me.
I have had the same problem, restarts randomly and lagging with the sleep button on the side.
Any word on a hardening patch? Overall, working OK, but it does reboot a bunch if left alone.
