Users of the popular Apple iPad tablet dominate in terms of share for web traffic generated through tablets, new data reveals.
According to web marketing firm Chitika, iPad owners account for 94 percent of all web traffic made through tablet computers.
This, according to the firm, signals but one measure of how Apple is leading in the tablet space.
Chitika says that for every 100 iPad which generated an online ad impression, only one tablet running on another mobile operating system has also made an ad impression.
Apple has recently debuted its iPad 3 with buyers lining up to get the tablet, typical of Apple product releases these days.
The new data suggests that the iPad is being utilized more by its owners to browse the internet compared to other tablets which run on other operating systems.
Chitika predicts that the iPad will continue to dominate in the future because it is a great product and because of Apple’s fans with “undying devotion”.
