Apple has delayed the official launch of the iPhone 4S in Mainland China after crowds outside Apple Stores became rowdy on Friday, reports say.
The iPhone 4S was supposed to be made available through local Apple Stores in Mainland China this Friday but the company decided against opening the doors to its stores.
According to a report from The Associated Press, Apple decided that it would be in the best interest of the company for the safety of its employees to not open some Apple Stores to sell the iPhone 4S.

The crowd started getting unruly outside Apple Stores in Beijing and Shanghai as the stores did not open at 7 a.m. as expected.
The AP says that some of those waiting for the iPhone 4S threw eggs at the Apple Store after it was announced that the store will not be selling the iPhone 4S that day.
The iPhone 4S is the latest iPhone from Apple and was launched by the Cupertino, California-based tech giant in October.
