Finally, and officially, Apple has made its card available to all potential customers in the US. If you have been following us on this topic, you will recall that Apple launched a dedicated website to serve as information hub for customers who would love to apply for its latest product—Apple Card. Now, the good news is that the card is now officially available to all potential customers in the US.
Apple Card is designed to help you control your spending while earning some rewards in the process. Starting today, you can apply for Apple Card through the Wallet app on your iPhone. Application only takes a couple of minutes, while setting up is even easier and does not require any technical skill. Once the set up process has been completed, you can start using the card right away with Apple Pay in stores, in apps, and on websites.
The card is built with the privacy and security of every user in mind, no fees, and encourages customers to pay less interest while using it to make payment online. Earlier in August, access to the card was granted to a few limited number of users who were given the chance to make an early application.
“We’re thrilled with the overwhelming interest in Apple Card and its positive reception,” said Jennifer Bailey, Apple’s vice president of Apple Pay. “Customers have told us they love Apple Card’s simplicity and how it gives them a better view of their spending.”
Customers will be availed with various rewards for using the card. “Daily Cash,” one of the reward features of the card will avail users the opportunity to get a percentage of every purchase they make each day. You will receive 2 percent Daily Cash every time you use Apple Card with Apple Pay, and another 3 percent Daily Cash on all purchases you make directly with Apple, including Apple Stores, apple.com, the App Store, the iTunes Store and for Apple services.
The best part for me is having a card that does not come with associated charges such as annual, late, international or over-the-limit fees. It is a no brainer, and it is the reason a lot of people may want to switch to Apple Card. The card also helps you to make informed decisions by showing a range of payment options and calculating the interest cost on different payment amounts in real time.
Apple Card is now available to qualified customers in the US with iPhone 6 and later. To apply, customers can update to iOS 12.4 on iPhone, open Wallet and tap on the + sign to learn more about how to set up and use the card.
