Angry Birds Space has passed the 100 million downloads mark following its release in March, the game’s developer Rovio said on its official Twitter account.
In April – approximately one month after the release, Angry Birds Space had arrived at 50 million downloads to bag the title of “fastest selling mobile game ever”. Now – less than three months after freely available for download – the previous milestone doubled to 100 million downloads, which means not all people are actually bored with the game just yet. The average number of downloads per day is over 1.3 million.
The Finnish game developer’s original Angry Birds game also made several amazing feats, which include one billion downloads since its release. The milestone means one in seven people on the planet downloaded the game.
Meanwhile, Rovio recently revealed plans to set in motion a sequel to its smash hit game “Amazing Alex”.
Angry Birds Space is still up and available for download on iOS, Android, PC, Mac and the BlackBerry Playbook.
