Amazon is offering shoppers a new feature that will help them decide on their favorite products online. The online ecommerce giant has added a new feature called “My Mix,” which will offer you personalized suggestions of products you might like to buy.
Of course, Amazon is already a place where millions of people do their shopping most of the time, but adding this new feature makes the ecommerce website even more attractive for shoppers. My Mix will enable you to browse and get your favorite products.
How it works: the new feature is inspired by your favorite activity—and the more you like more items across “Interesting Finds,” a feature that works along with My Mix, the more Amazon is able to build you a custom shop with other items. My Mix is able to build your custom shop based on your activity.
Unlike the popular Amazon homepage where recommendations are based on previous purchases made by you, My Mix offers a better way of helping you choose from any of your favorite products. Well, not much of a difference actually, but it does add more fun and make shopping easier for you. Call it a redefined Amazon webpage suggestion feature, and you won’t be wrong, but this new addition adds some simplicity to shopping.
Finding the personalized shop is easy too; Amazon has strategically placed it at the beginning of the scrollable bar of the category pages on the “Interesting Finds” site. A red notification dot shows on the site whenever there are new items in your shop. To ensure you are up to date with the latest items, and when they become available, your shop will refresh several times a day.
Speaking to TechCrunch about My Mix, Amazon said:
“We don’t filter anything out by vendor or by price; it is all based on what customers have previously hearted. The items in ‘My Mix’ are refreshed numerous times throughout the day, so customers should heart anything they want to save because they probably won’t be there when they come back.”
My take on My Mix: My Mix is a great addition to Amazon, and will present users excellent opportunities to easily access their favorite items without stress. Perhaps, a couple of improvements still need to be made to the feature, Amazon deserves a pat on the back for this latest effort.
Last December, Amazon redefined shopping and took its ecommerce business to a new height with a new store called ‘Amazon Go.’ With the new store, the online retail giant is revolutionizing shopping and making life easier for every one of its customers. Located in Seattle, the store replaces cashiers with technology you would normally find in self-driving cars.
Customers who visit the store use an accompanied app that enables them to pick any item of their choice, and walk out without stopping at the cashier section. Using a range of sensors, the Amazon app detects what a customer grabs in the store and bills it to his account if he doesn’t return it.
