Amazon is heating up the cloud music service scene by offering unlimited storage for the Amazon Cloud Player service.
According to reports, MP3 and AAC files now do not count toward the storage limit of its Amazon Cloud Player service across all paying Cloud Drive plans.
However, people who would want to take advantage of the new move by Amazon should get their plans now because the company is reportedly offering the unlimited storage for the Amazon Cloud Player for only “a limited time.”
Along with the unlimited storage for Amazon Cloud Player, the company also announced a new-improved the web-based access of the service with the popular Apple iPad.
Furthermore, Amazon also revealed that from now on, all MP3s purchased through their store will be stored at no charge on the customer’s Amazon cloud.
Analysts say that the move is to encourage people to get the service rather than choosing offerings from Google or Apple.
Google has a 20,000-song limit for its rivaling cloud music service while Apple mirrors, through iTunes, music on customers’ devices into their cloud storage.
