Acer is all but ready to exert effort in another attempt at the smartphone market with its Android-powered Liquid Gallant Solo.
Expected to release as the Acer Liquid Gallant Solo alongside a dual-core Gallant Duo from the Taiwanese smartphone maker, the handset now appears online on the company’s official site in a very long user manual.
The handbook unveils the actual specifications of the Liquid Gallant Solo, and marks it as a mid-range smartphone lineup.
It will feature Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS), a 4.3-inch qHD (960×540 pixels) resolution display, a 1 GHz single-core processor and 1 GB of RAM.
Other notable specs of the Liquid Gallant Solo include a 9.9-mm thick chassis, a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash and autofocus, 4 GB of built-in storage with microSD support, HSDPA and Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth 3.0 and a 1500 mAh battery.
Acer is also likely to launch a new line of Windows Phone 8 devices next year, and Windows 8 powered tablets this year.
The Acer Liquid Gallant Solo reportedly will launch at the IFA in Berlin later this month, but the company declined to comment on speculations.
