Apps for foodies are incredible. Whether you’re a fan of Jamie Oliver or Gordon Ramsay, these apps are sure to please you. They’re inspiring and perfect for combining recipes and photos to perfectly transform your kitchen into an interactive place.
There are dozens of apps for foodies that you can choose from. To help you get started, here are some of my favorite apps.
Perhaps, some of your family members have food allergies. If you’re cooking for those with food allergies or picky eaters, then Substitutions can help you come up with alternative options when finding cooking ingredients.
It provides multiple options and alternatives. You can also use it if you forgot to purchase a particular ingredient.
But it’s not for those who don’t regularly need to find alternatives.
By far, it’s one of the best cooking apps. It has a huge selection of recipes from a wide array of sources. You can find more than 30,000 recipes that are professionally created. Once you have found some of your favorites, save them to your personalized recipe box.
You can also email those recipes to your inbox or to your friends’. What’s more is that you can get recommendations from fellow Epicurious users.
Oh, it’s free by the way.
Do you travel a lot? Then, this app is for you. Tastemade is a video guide to help you find the best places to eat in the city you’re traveling to.
You can also make your own video and be a tastemaker yourself through the app’s filters and professionally produced sounds.
You’ll also learn about the different food cultures around the world. Then, you can take notes of those places that you’d want to visit. Mark them off once you’ve visited them.
4. Jamie’s Recipes
Are you a big fan of Jamie Oliver? If you’re like me, then his Jamie’s Recipes app presents a taster pack that includes ten recipes with three videos.
For its themed packs, you can find recipes for classic comfort food, date night, 10-minute recipes, and others. Each pack has 10 recipes and additional videos.
You won’t get lost when you’re trying out one of its recipes as each one has step-by-step illustrations. Then, it comes with a shopping list that you can cross off items while you’re shopping for ingredients.
It’s free for a taster pack, but each theme costs around $1.99.
5. Weight Watchers
This is an essential app for subscribers of this popular weight loss program – Weight Watchers. If you’re not a member, you can still take advantage of it as it presents cooking techniques, creating shopping lists, etc.
Subscribers, on the other hand, can access thousands of recipes with a complete shopping list. It also presents equipment guides. If you’re monitoring your weight, then this app is a must-have to encourage you to embrace a healthier lifestyle. It also keeps you on track with your weight loss program.
